In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of leading social networking applications on iOS in Bulgaria showcased varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, highlights the performance of Threads, Telegram Messenger, WhatsApp Messenger, Rakuten Viber Messenger, and Facebook.

Threads experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at around 5.5K and peaking at 6.7K mid-quarter. Despite a decline towards the end of the quarter, its weekly active users saw a notable increase from 123K to 160K.

Telegram Messenger showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $4.6K by late October. Its weekly downloads peaked at 7.1K early in the quarter, while active users remained relatively stable, closing the quarter at 231K.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 3K. Revenue remained modest, with a slight peak at $20 in late November. Active users grew from 257K to nearly 297K by the end of December.

Rakuten Viber Messenger demonstrated steady revenue, peaking at $2.6K in November. Downloads varied, with a high of 4.3K in December. Active user numbers remained strong throughout the quarter, consistently above 650K.

Facebook experienced steady weekly revenue, peaking at $1.6K in early November. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching nearly 4K. Active users saw a slight decline in December, closing at 408K.
